Some documentation may be a bit out of date the vast majority of it should be ok. Config Files: The ODBC Installer Library is responsible for reading and writing the unixODBC config files. The savy can look at; _odbcinst_SystemINI.c _odbcinst_UserINI.c In anycase; you can override where unixODBC looks for its system config files by setting the ODBCSYSINI enviroment variable during the use of unixODBC.
